Description

The Marston Super Hornet is a is a two-door muscle car, featuring a rear wheel drive drivetrain and a big beefy seven liter V8 engine. Both the 1970 and 1974 models were produced alongside each other after the 4 year solo run of the '70 edition, however thanks to both the 1973 Oil Crisis and the Cataclysm in 2001 the vehicles have become quite rare and hard to manufacture, leading to high prices for wrecks and especially extortionate prices for any model, even more for a beefier upgraded one.

This page refers to both the 1970 and 1974 Super Hornets, as both are essentially the same car, just with slight style differences. This is primarily seen in the front grille/bumpers.

The vehicle's statistics are only partially known, with the only directly measurable statistic being speed, in Studs per second. Other stats are vague approximations from the main developers for the game.

The Super Hornet is able to equip various attachments, of which all variants share.
All Mirror attachments are shared between all cars, whereas the Hood attachment is unique to the Super Hornet - the Horn being exclusive to the vehicle despite the model being shared by multiple vehicles. The list of possible attachments are as follows:

  • Mirror:
    • Trees:
      • Black Ice
      • Camo
      • Cherry Blossom
      • Dayside Breeze
      • Green Apple
      • Leather
      • Mai Tai
      • Margarita
      • New Car
      • Rainforest
      • Royal Pine
      • Strawberry
      • Vanilla
    • Fur Dice
  • Hood:
    • Horn
No variant of either the 1970 or 1974 Super Hornet can haul any trailers.

Variants / Deviations

Stock ('70,'74)

Two door muscle car. Apparently the veteran's #1 choice of car to wash away the sins of service.

Four Door ('70, '74)

Four doored variant of the Stock Super Hornet. Easier to cram the lads in the back of.

Race/Track ('70, '74)

Slightly beefier engine, big wing, and racing stripes make the Race/Track model a real sign of status. Just. Don't mind all the more expensive variants.

Offroad ('70, '74)

The only variant of the Super Hornet platform able to haul a single unit of cargo.

Stuntman ('74 only)

A specially tuned replica of the car from Yanks in Danger! Unfortunately not driven by the real General Stetson. He's dead. Has a bullbar.

Raked ('70, '74)

A supercharged 7l V8 motor makes this this Super Hornet a wannabe drag racer's dream. Just don't push it TOO far.

Blower ('70, '74)

A professional supercharger install and a blower ram intake make this Super Hornet variant a proper race machine. Just don't try and turn at high speeds.

Custom ('70, '74)

Because the Raked variant wasn't good enough. Features a larger rear wheel for being extra on the drag strip, and a bullbar.

Stetson ('74 only)

A proper jalopy of a car, made at Stetson's Carsmithy. Apparently recovered from Victory Mine.

Taxi ('70, '74)

Four Door variant of the Super Hornet that is capable of taxi work. The craziest of taxi models.

Police (70, '74)

Police model of the Super Hornet Four Door. All variants feature the same siren.

Track ('70, '74)

Jimmy Gibbs Jr. would be proud.

Notes and Trivia

  • The manufacturer, Marston, was potentially founded by Jack Marston, of Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption series.
  • The Stetson variant of the 1974 model is heavily inspired by the Jalopy from Half Life.
  • Marston vehicles are apparently very hard to get, with the player character having connections to be able to own potentially all of the models.
  • The Track variants of the Super Hornets are based on Jimmy Gibbs Jr.'s 1969 Dodge Charger from Left For Dead 2.
